Schools Services

Interrelate Family Centres has helped the communities of NSW since 1926, when it began
with its ‘Father and Son’ programs which offered young people sexuality education.
Quality educational programs have remained a key component of its expanded services
and the valuable work of School Services has earned it a reputation as
'a respected and trusted leader in the delivery of
sexuality and relationship education in NSW schools’

Some of the programs offered to NSW children and their families are:

Family programs that encourage discussions both during and after the program

My Special Family for children in their first years of school

Where Did I Come From? for children in years 3 & 4

Preparing For Puberty  for students in years 5 & 6

Classroom programs:

Minding Me
for year 5 students which provides basic, simple information about change and puberty and encourages respect for one’s peers.

■ Moving Into The Teen Years
for year 6 students which prepares them for their transition into secondary school and adolescence.

(Both of the above programs comply with the NSW Personal Development, Health and Physical Education syllabus.)

Bullying Awareness programs
cover all year levels.
