Interrelate Dubbo has been supporting
our local community since 1975.


Our service is run by professionals; some of whom are parents, carers or grandparents themselves;
who care about their community.

Interrelate is committed to providing easily accessible, quality relationship services enabling individuals, couples, families and children to work through life’s challenges and improve their relationships.
Interrelate services are available to people regardless of gender, culture or age.

Caring for CARERS

We provide FREE specialised counselling services:

For full-time carers who have a dependent child or adult with a disability, mental illness, chronic condition or terminal illness.

Services include

managing your stress, anxiety or depression
learning new skills to cope with your life as a carer
practical problem solving techniques
working through family and relationship issues
how to deal with any grief and loss you may be experiencing
emotional support
enhancing your health and wellbeing
succession planning and transition counselling

We also support Respite/Carer Providers through:
Workshops, training and education
Group counselling and therapy

The Challenge of Disciplining Children
A 3 hour seminar which assists parents with constructive techniques in disciplining and encouraging their  children to behave more positively.
Date: Wednesday, February  23rd
Time: 9.30am

Cost: $15 per person ($5.00 per person for established clients)
 
■  Being a Dad
Assists fathers become more effective parents and acquire skills necessary to build closer relationships with their children. Three 2.5 hr sessions.
Dates: Wednesdays, March 16th 23rd 30th.
Time: 6.00 9.00pm

Self Esteem and Communication
A 6 session program focusing on personal growth, communication skills, the origins of self esteem and tools to take charge of your life.
Dates: Wednesdays, July 20th 27th
August 3rd 10th 17th 24th
Time:  9.30am – 12.30pm
Cost: 
$15 per person ($5.00 per person for established clients)

Positive Parenting
Provides parents with strategies for positive communication and parenting techniques.
Dates: Wednesday, May 11th
Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm

Cost: $15 per person ($5.00 per person for established clients)

Being a Mum
Helps mothers become more mindful parents and gain skills to build closer relationships with their children.
Dates: Wednesday, May 18th 25th  June1st
Time: 10.00am – 1.00pm

Being a Grandparent
A 3 hour seminar focusing on the needs and changing roles of grandparents today.
Dates: Tuesday, March 24th
Time: 10.30 – 1.30pm
Cost: $15 per person ($5.00 per person for established clients)

Building Connections
A three hour seminar to assist separated parents have strong,
healthy relationships with their children
